A small effort to make the West Midlands a slightly better place to start a company.

stratford.dev is run from Stratford-upon-Avon. It exists to promote a startup culture in the region — connecting people who build things, and helping local businesses use modern tools well.

What we believe

Good companies don't only come from London or San Francisco. The West Midlands has the people, the skills, and the cost-of-living advantage to be a serious place to build. What it sometimes lacks is the casual density of other founders to bump into. We're trying to be one small part of fixing that.

What we're not

We're not an accelerator, a VC fund, or a paid consultancy. There's nothing to sign up for. If we can help, we help; if we can't, we'll usually know someone who can.
